so ive got a mesa triple reco and a pod hd 500
now what i want to do is connect my pod and just use the fx from it not amp sim,
ive tried using the 4cm:
Guitar ==> HD Input
HD FX Send ==> Amp Input
Amp FX Send ==> HD FX Return Left
HD 1/4" Output Left ==> Amp FX Return
the problem is when i connect it like this i can only use the volume control i cant change the tone on the amp which makes me thing that its only using the mesa as a power amp or something.
id like to connect the hd500 so i can use the mesa distorion channel and add overdrive pedals ect...
any ideas??
So have you added an FX Loop block to the patch in the HD500?....and did you set the mix in the block to 100%? HD500 Loop has to be turned on for that to work...
+1 Space. If you are not getting any response from the tone knobs on your amp then that is a classic sign that the FX Loop on the POD is not active.
Make sure the FX Block is added to the signal chain.
Make sure the FX block is turned on.
The FX Block is the final effect in the list of effects after EQs etc.
i have added the fx block in the chain but it all it does is put a weird fuzz and drops the volume signaifcally
screws the tone up

There are levels that need to be set right and boosted in certain places to make sure that things sound good.
