One thing that I would use and find really useful, if buying one, is open tuning and slide bar work - not having to re-tune.

Is tracking good enough for that use?

Is JTV working differently in normal tuning(but modelling still) or doing open tunings, so that would affect how it acts on slide work?

Or is Variax doing pitch-shifting the same way - in either case?
