HD500 acoustic + Electric setup

Hi
I'm looking for some quick advice before rehearsals tomorrow.
I play in a rock covers band and have succesfully using my HD500 + Gibson Les paul connected to a DT25 amp connected via the L6 link.
I have now purchased a Taylor 214ce acoustic, I want to run this through the HD500 to our PA.
Gibson plugged in to Guitar In
Taylor plugged in to AUX in
I have all my electric patches setup and all have GUITAR set as the input1 and SAME set as input2 to negate any acoustic noise while playing electric.
I have setup a couple of the stock Acoustic patches to my liking and set the input1 to MIC and Input2 to AUX to negate any Electric noise while playing acoustic.
So my question - what do I need to do to ensure that the electric patches go to the DT25 and the Acoustic to the PA mixer?
Please bear in mind I'm fairly new to the HD500
thanks in advance
Ian
That's a pretty simple one, but it will change your tones slightly. You have to hard pan the patches (left for all electrics, right for all acoustics). Then, send either your 1/4" or XLR outs to where they need to go. It's early and my brain is still sleepy, but I think you'll have to use the same connection for both, as in 2 XLRs or 2 1/4", not one AND the other.
thanks for the response.
so from what you're saying I wouldn't be able to L6 Link for the DT25 and say for e.g XLR (right) for the PA?
I wonder if it would just be easier to un-plug the L6 and Gibson and plug in the XLR and Taylor in-between songs? Not ideal, but would that work?
Because I've never used L6 link, I don't really know. If you can find a way to lock out the acoustic patches then sure...I'd imagine that is doable.
I hope so.. Can anyone help on this? Really need a solution tonight so I can get it sorted before rehearsal tomorrow.
Is the only chance I'll have to test through the pa before our next gig
You have to setup 2 seperate paths. I use my DT50 w my Variax the exact same way you are talking about. I will send you my 2 tones one for acoutis which comes out of the left xlr and my electric which comes out of the right side through the L6 link. I will post the tones here just so you can see how I did it. I have to get to my HD500 in a couple of hours.
Brilliant... Thanks a million
Here are photos of the 2 tones. You'll notice that any effects after the amp need to be on one path otherwise any effects after the amp come through left and right outputs. there is one other option, on your acoustic patch you could just put a loop before the mixer and take the send from the loop out to the pa.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
