Will POD x3 Live Work On My Mac?

I just want to make sure this will work on my Mac before I go and buy it. Can somebody list the reqs. you need to know, please?
well the things you can do while connected to your mac would be editing using the free gearbox editor, recording just by using the POD as an audio interface via its usb connection, and perhaps using pod farm plug in withint your DAW as a vst.
the gearbox software installer includes the drivers for usb audio, so look here: http://line6.com/software/ for the specs to use gearbox, and maybe pod farm if you want to use that. the only other thing would be that you MUST have a USB2.0 port on your MAC.
that's it.
How do I know if I have USB 2.0 on my Mac? Or how do I get it if I don't?
check the specs on apples website. use google, like I did. and I found this: http://askville.amazon.com/Mac-capable-USB/AnswerViewer.do?requestId=5566984
just for your info, the POD X3's are not backward compatible with USB1.1, or USB1.0 they NEED USB2.0 ports.
Yep!
I use it in a iMac 24" Intel Core 2 Duo..
..The most important -as said Rowbi- is the port USB 2.0..
Does it connect into your FireWire port or your regular USB port?
http://www.macworld.com/product/hardware/141/detail.html This is the Mac I have, and it says I have 2x USB2.0 ports, but my regular USB ports are only 1.5mb/sec. I have 2x high-speed ports *One for my built-in iSight camera* and I don't know where the other one is. So, does the POD connect into the FireWire port or some other port on the side of my Mac? The only other ones I have to choose from, is one that has a symbol that looks like a 'Y' and one that looks like a box.
Corey,
The POD X3 Live will connect to your Mac using a USB connection. NOT Firewire. Just a single USB port from the Mac.

Works great on my Macbook pro. Looks like you won't have any trouble with your version of Mac.
Cheers,
Thank you all for the help. I'm excited to get my new POD :]. I gave you all your points.
I can not get the new software to install on my iMac 24. I have downloaded the updates and I always get them in ".mpkg" format and when I click on that I get a consistent "error -66'" message. I have the XT Live, just bought the X3 Live and have the Variax 700 and the Variax 705 bass. I NEED THIS CRAP TO WORK!
Note: This will NOT work on a PPC machine.
yes it will with the exceptions i noted on your other thread: http://line6.com/support/message/378058#378058
