A new Acoustic PLEASE!!!!

I reckon It'd be great if they got together with a really good acoustic maker and did an updated Acoustic. I use my JT at acoustic gigs but it doesn't feel the same.

I put 12-52's on it and brought up the action. It sounds great but I miss having the feel of phospher bronze strings under my fingers.

The only problem I had with my old one, which was stolen, was the thin body.

If they do a new one it ought to feel like a full bodied OM or Dreadnought and have a model that's like a soundhole pickup for when you want to do acoustic overdrive but still have the open tunings..

I hear you I loved the small body though, but it would be nice to have a hybrid even, with a condensor mic inside. The hard thing is for the cost you can buy the fishman pedals and have fun with a cheaper guitar. I think the problem with the original variax acoustic was that it is like an electric guitar, not something you hold onto long term because it isn't going to get more full sound. At least I think that might have been a reason. The biggest thing for me is the bleed through. When I am doing open tunings, unless I am wearing IEM I hear the tuning of the strings.

But it is doubtful that another acoustic will come out. People don't like change. They like name brands and stuff they know. Modeling is always inferior to the real thing people think. Even with the electrics we see the hybrids because people want pick ups. I've even seen a 700 with fake pick up mounts because the owner had to have them on to make it feel like a real guitar.

    tis my rant
