FBV wah sweep not working

I have just upgraded from the FBV Short board to the FBV longboard, and the wah function on the longboard will not 'sweep' when I kick it on i hear the wah model on but i cannot control it.

the wah models on the short board work no problem.

I purchased the FBV Longboard from American musical, and wanted to make sure it wasn't a user error before i send the pedal back for a refund.

Hi

Does the light turn on when you engage the Wah? When these boards are new it can take quite a bit of pressure to turn on the pedal. Also check the pedal assignment in the vetta itself. The Wah could be assigned a different function. The easiest way is with Line6 Edit but you can check it right on the vetta.

  True. If you open the window for the pedals, you can actually see the knob moving in edit when you sweep the pedal if it's working correctly.
  
  ALSO, it might be worth calibrating the pedal if it's new. There's a link to the instructions for doing that in this thread:

  Thanks for the reply, i've been using Line 6 for years, I have POD XT Pro, POD XT Live and now the Vetta II HD, so I'm very familiar with line 6 edit and how to use the pedals. I can kick on the wah pedal but can not control it so the button works. I did try to calibrate the pedal, it didn't work, I also went through the menus on the vetta head to make sure it was assigned to the wah function. As one last test I'll hook it up to the edit software and see.

    Did you try a different Cat5 cable?
    
    You shouldn't have any problem with getting a replacement from AMS if it turns out to be a bad unit.

      i have an RA number from ams already. I'll try a different cat 5 cable as well, but i was hoping it was something simple like a setting on the amp itself -which it doesnt seem to be. shipping back is paid for by AMS as well, so no complaints there.
