How to "NOT" save changes/go back to original preset-HD500

I like to (using the Edit software-USB connected to the HD500) go to a basic preset and experiment...add/change an amp, add/change effects, whatever. I do this to learn about the Edit software and HD500's cababilites. After experimenting, I DO NOT want to save the changes and just go back to my original preset. How can I do this??? I don't see an "exit" type button...changing presets then going back does not do it...I still see all my "experimental" changes. There must be an easy way to "not save" my changes and go back to the original preset. Thanks for indulging this "dumb" question!
You can "tell" HD Edit to recieve original preset from HD500 (I can't verify this 100% right now). Also if you don't send edited sound to HD500, once you unplug it from PC, you will have all original patches (If you don't send patches to HD500 using send button). And you can of course backup all presets before doing all your "experimental" cases, too.
In the HD500 Edit program there is a RECEIVE SELECTED command which restores the currently selected preset (setlist/bank/preset number) from the Pod HD 500 memory.
Thanks a lot silverhead Just "experimented" some more....the RECEIVE SELECTED works great to undo my changes (that of course I have not saved).
I also managed to get my presets out of their normal order within the setlist...so the RECEIVE SETLIST put them all back to original order.
Thanks, silverhead. You Rock!
Up to now, I would save an unchanged patch to an unused bank of presets, before I would try to tweak them.
If I wanted to revert to the original, I would reload the unchanged patch from the other "Save Bank" of presets.
Your method is easier.
I do think that I will still keep a saved patch in case later on after tweaking and saving a patch, I want to start from scratch again at a later date though.
Good posts guys....
Another easy way to save a patch using the Edit program is simply to click/drag it to your computer desktop/folder. This creates a *.H5e preset file. To restore it you click/drag it back.
Really? That is too easy. Awesome Tip silverhead!! ![]()
