Sorry you are having trouble, but it sounds like you were able to find how to install the previous driver. If you can, please try the latest 7.2.4 driver once again and let us know through a direct customer support ticket at the following link as we provide tech support through that channel now:

I still get a 404 on that add ticket URL.
Anyway, having tried drivers 7.1.9, 7.2.1, 7.2.3 & 7.2.4 - with both Mountain Lion & Snow Leo CoreAudio (as was suggested on another thread) I arrive at ...
... swapping CoreAudio does me no favours, it kills my internal speakers & doesn't change the L6 driver behaviour at all.
Any version since the ML fix (7.2.1, 7.2.3 & 7.2.4) suffers from the total cessation of all audio, UX meters dead, after anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour or more. Only a reboot will bring it back. I tried relaunching Cubase etc, no difference. Anything using the UX2 is silent, iTunes, anything. Internal speakers still work [when I'm not using the Snow CoreAudio]
7.1.9 is better for me overall. I get the occasional crackle, it seems to find it harder to keep playback smooth when the machine's under heavy load - but when it does, all I need to do is drop to the Finder & back to Cubase again. I have 'release ASIO driver in background' set. It's better than having to reboot.
