Single Amp custom tone bundles (clean, dirty, lead)?

I recently purchased an HD300 and was browsing the custom tones. I'm looking for some patches that more or less can set the POD up as a clean, crunch, lead for the same Amp in the same bank #. (Essentially, A would be clean, B crunch, C a bit more crunch, D lead, all the same amp model).
lI thought I read somewhere that someone had put out something like this.
If anyone can direct me to where I might find some custom tones put together in this fashion, let me know! Thanks!
What do you mean "for the same Amp"?
You want your HD 300 as a pre-amp or you want to use the effect like a stomp box?
Please give us more details.
My advice is to learn to handle your POD. I am no friend of custom tones, because everybody has another setup (guitar, amp, cab, PA). So will never get the sound you prefer before you don't work with the device.
You bought an expensive gear with a progressive design. You should learn how to use it.
Have a look on this thread where a guy posted a very good manual how to dial in your POD http://line6.com/support/thread/71651?start=0&tstart=0
Have fun

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I am learning and working with it on my own. I've owned a POD XT for years so I know my way around the Line 6 products a bit.
However I do like listening to other peoples' patches to get new ideas. Sorry if I was not clear....thought I read someone had made some patches like this available.
The same basic Amp simulator settings would be utilized by the HD but channel A would be a clean version, channel B a bit more crunch...etc.
For example maybe a series of patches based on the Marshal P-75
01A would be clean
01B would be OD
01C Would be a bit more heavy
01D Would be lead with a volume boost.
I am working on doing this myself but if anyone has tried the approach and released some nice sounding tones, I would be interested in listening to them.
The late great Nick Mattocks posted something along these lines a while ago
Good luck
Yes - and in post #12 of that thread I provided a link to an adjusted setlist that modified Nick's work for the HD300/400, which should be directly useable by the OP. Here's the direct link to that:
Perfect! Thanks for the help this is what I was looking for.
OK I grabbed the 16x4Full Amp.hb4 file and tried to load it via the HD300 edit software via the "Load Bundle" option. All the models appears in the software but only a few actually appear on the HD 300 itself...nothing above the 7A slot. They still show the factor defaults. Any thoughts?
Did you use the SEND command in HD300 Edit to load/save the presets into the HD300 device?
Yes, did that. It appeared to be going through the process but nothing was saved on the device.
Maybe I should note I am using the latest HD300 firmware. Not sure if that matters...
You try to reinstall the driver usb. Me it to troubleshoot helped. Sorry for my bad english.![]()
I presume you are using the latest version of HD300 Edit as well?
Yea, line 6 monkey says everything is the latest version....
I'll give it another try. I had a hard time getting the firmware update to take. Quite a few 80009000 errors before it finally worked. Maybe that is related...
Yes - that would be related. That error code indicates a problem with the usb connection. Your connection is cutting out periodically. If it cuts out during the SEND operation, that would explain the symptom. Try another usb port on your computer, and make sure you are not using any usb hubs.
