I play lead guitar and sing backup vox in a Rock en Espanol band. We are a four piece, bass/leadvox, lead guitar/backup vox, acoustic guitar and drums. We recorded this demo on my home computer (LOOKING FOR A MASTERING SUITE NOW!!!) using my PODxt (guitar and bass) and Roland V Drums. I played the keyboards and engineered/produced the whole thing, check it out...

A friend recently turned me on to the Ozone 4 mastering suite and I have been very happy with the initial results. It is reasonably priced ($200 USD) for its feature set of 7 mastering modules, and it's integrated interface is easy to navigate. I'm a novice at mastering but the range of useful presets that come with the package have helped me greatly in understanding the process and getting the work done.
There is a 10 day, fully functional, (you can save your work) demo for download at the Izotope website. I did my first masters with the demo version and was hooked. Take a couple of your existing mixes and see what you think.
Hope this helps.
Best,
Pete
Thanks for the heads up Pete, I will definitely check it out. I actually have the first Ozone and I also have Wavelab 4. I have tried to do it myself but it just seems like there is something missing. I know mastering is a totally different ballgame than regular engineering or mixing. The guys in the band are itching for this thing to be done. I'll let ya know what happens...
