ive got an imac and its all installed and that,,,but no audio coming through speakers??,,,can play loops from garage band and ipod over speakers,,,but no pod farm,,,i can get the drums from riffworks fine but no guitar,,,i can see the levels moving on the screen and ive tried stuffin about with the configuration for audio midi but nothing???,,,any answers
i has to be a software problem if your seeing the levels move. is there a muting control ?
i just ran my pod out of the headphone jack in to my peavey amp and i can get audio,,,still trying to get audio to garage band and ableton live,,,not sure how to work either,,,audio in garage band like the loops and stuff works through external speakers out of computer but guitar via ux2 wont come out of external speakers via computer in garageband,,,and im worried i cant get audio into the recording mixer in ableton which means i cant record midi drums etc with guitar,,,whole reason i bought all this stuff,,,what do you reckon mate??????,,,i can have a great jam sesh with computer speakers playing drum loops from garageband,,,,and ux2 feeding the peavey,,,,but not both through computer,,,its wrecking my brain,,,i feel like i need yet another recording facility like an ADAT machine which both computer headphones and ux2 headphones can be monitored together thus producing a syncro recording,,,,???????,,,thank you for your reply,,,hope you hold the answer,,,,,,,,,,,
i dnt use a pod so i cant answer for that. what im working with is a jam vox which does what the pod does.
if everything your using works fine as an individual item the way you want them to but not all together it could be the sound card is being overwhelmed with too much data all at once so you may just have to do a track at a time to record. i dont record on the computer myself i have the software but dont use it . im still using an old 4 trackwith tape so i can kep it analogue. i take a two track with me if i go out dump it to 4 track here and if needed then i dump i to an 8 track i have so i still have control of all 8 tracks thats pretty much all i need but if i had to i could figure a way to sync them all . i hear alot of people are going back it analogue anyhow.
back to the sound
it may be that you need to upgrade your sound card for the ammount of input your using as the one you have cant handle everything at once or it could just be you need to make ajustments in your current sound card
for example if you open a few music vids at once one will over ride the other sound wise while you can still see all the vids running.
so id look there to start
