Hi!
Problem with running Vyzex Editor (screen). I found this bug on 2 computers with WinXPSP2 and WinXPSP3 installed.
How can I resolve this problem? ))

Hello Andy,
Usually our colleague PSICraftTony (from PSICraft, the company that created the Vyzex Editor) answers questions concerning the Pocket POD Vyzex editor application.
However, just taking a quick look at your screenshot... I don't understand Russian, but it appears that the editor may not be recognizing your hardware unit connection.
First, please complete your System Profile here: http://line6.com/account/supportProfile/
Obviously, you can start by trying an uninstall of the application. Then, perform a clean installation (on both computers, if possible).
You should try all available direct USB ports on both computers. If you have a different USB cable, try that as well. Also, be sure to have constant power supplied to your unit other than batteries. These are just basic troubleshooting steps to start with.

Hi Andy,
I am going to private message you with access to an unreleased patch that should fix this issue. A forthcoming official update to Vyzex Pocket POD will include the patch, but for now the private message technique will get you running again.
Cheers

Hi Marca,
Autosense issues are not the same as a crash on startup. Anyone else encountering AutoSense or missing USB MIDI ports in Windows should check out the newly posted Troubleshooting Guide PDF. It contains all the information needed to identify and resolve these issues. You can access the document under the Documents tab of the Vyzex Editor forum.
For those who encounter a complete program crash when launching the program, I am currently providing private access to an unreleased patch file. This patch will be included in the next official release of Vyzex Pocket POD, which will be available to the public in the coming months.
Best regards,
Tony
I am also experiencing the Vyzex PocketPOD 1.05 crash at startup on Windows XP SP3. "I get a dialog box with "The instruction at "0x00409a9c" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read"."
Thanks,
Dax
Check your private messages...
I'm having the same problem. I did a fresh install of the Vyzex 1.05 editor, the USB Audio device is found bij Windows (XP/SP3). After starting the editor I get: "Midi Quest 10 / XL has encountered a problem and needs to close."
What can I do?
Hi,
I'm also having trouble starting Vyzex. It crashes so fast that I don't see any error message, if there is any.
I just see the interface for half a second and the application entirly disappear.
Could I have the patch too?
Thanks.
Md & Guitar,

Hi Tony,
did you receive my email?
Hi Guitar,
If you go by the name Morris, then yes I did. You should have a reply to read by now.
Hi Tony,
I think I'm the next one having the startup crash problem...
Could you please help me too?
Greetings from Germany,
Skarpak.
You are PM'ed Herr Skarpak...

Hi Psicraft Tony,
I am having exactly the same problem - blue screen when I run Vyzex pocket pod interface.
Can you please send me the patch too?
Thanks,
Mark Cohen markcohen@q.com

You're not running Windows 2000 are you?
Tony
i have also crashed could i have help please cheers
Will,
Have you downloaded the v1.7 version of the program? It doesn't have the issue that this thread was about.
Get it at: http://line6.com/software/, select these options and press the Go button.
Make sure to select version 1.17 for download, not one of the earlier ones:
If you are using the latest version of Vyzex PocketPOD, you should not require any patches or fixes.
Can someone please send me a fix. It's almost 2 years later and software is still at version 1.05. I need help!
As of July 17, 2009, the official release version of Vyzex PocketPOD is v1.17: This version does not require the crash patch, and is superior in every way to version 1.05.
The download can be accessed from http://line6.com/software/. Don't forget to read the included 'Vyzex PocketPOD Pilot's Guide' PDF to get a grip on the significant changes to how the program works!
Tony
Does this new release also update the firmware on the Pocket Pod?
Thanks,
Charley
Hi Charley,
A pending future release of Line6 Monkey is going to perform this task. The Vyzex editor is not going to serve as an upgrade tool.
Stay tuned for more news on this front...
