When I first heard the intro acoustic guitar, I didn't like some of the chords, but then when the distorted guitar kicked in, the acoustic guitar sounds good.  After I heard the whole song, I listened to the intro again, and then it sounded better to me.  I think you're off to a good start.

It feels very appropriate to have vocals on this tune.  I thought some of the vocals turned out very well, and some of the other vocals not nearly as good.  Having vocals though, does make the instrumental part sound all the better.
