Pod farm chrashes

Hi,
I downloaded POD farm Plugin for free offer yesterday and i also have the POD farm software. The problem that i have is that the software and the VST plugin is crashing and thus making it pretty useless. In pod farm the app is running for about 20 seconds, then it crashes and disapears. Before it disapears a error window is popping up, and it says something about error in windows C++ runtime module. The same thing happens in Cubase with the POD plugin.
What to do? I'm pretty stucked and i would love to use the dual amp feature to create my tones to use with my X3 live pedal.
Hope you guys can help me on this one.
I'm running windows XP Service Pack 3 with latest updates. I use only the OS as a musical OS, no fancy pancy games or other stuff installed on the drive.
Cheers,
Mikael

Hello,
What version of Cubase are you running?
Also, are you able to reproduce this behavior consistently? If so, what steps do you perform in order to reproduce this crash?
Line6Miller
Hi,
Thanks for the answer,
I'm running Cubase 3 and the error is consistently. Every time i start the app or load the VST, it crashes and the pop-up comes up for a short period of time.
And i can reproduce the error everytime i start the standalone version of POD Farm OR load the VST plugin into Cubase. If i start a new project in Cubase and just load the VST as my first and only plugin, it crashes. If I start the standalone and browsing through the presets, it crashes, so the steps are pretty straight forward.
Cheers,
Mikael
That error pops up when you just try to launch POD Farm as a stand alone device? Sounds like some other sort of weird driver conflict.
What other hardware devices are connected to your computer? Any webcams, external drives, other audio interfaces? Have you tried disconnecting any of them?
Line6Miller
Yes, that's right.
No fancy stuff connected to my computer, no cams and no other audio interface, just a USB external HD. Have tried to disconnect the HD, no luck, still the same problem. Which version of MS Visual C ++ runtime module is recomended for POD Farm? Since it a pop-up about that module, maybe it has something to do with the version of it....
Cheers...
Hi,
If you have a basic OS that doesn't have any file or registry issues, you shouldn't even be dealing with MS Visual C++ messaging in theory.
Unless you're a programmer and have the dev tools installed on your particular computer.
As far as the usage of POD Farm software is concerned, the bundled installer should provide all software files needed for the program to run on a system.
Something else on your system is causing the crash. If you wish to pursue further investigation on our end, we can gather crashlog and system information from you next. Let us know if this is what you wish to do.

No, i'm not a programmer and have only software that is related to music on my OS. Maybe some of them need the MS C++ runtime module to work.. I know that some software requires that you have the module installed.
From MS site:
I not saying that POD Farm is made in Visual C++, that i don't know. But, it would be strange if someone has a app that requires that module and at the same time run into errors when using POD Farm due to the C++ package?
Is the POD Farm standalone app writing down a crashlog automatically? Or do I need a switch to the .EXE file when starting the app?
Mikael
I installed a Screen Capture software and captured what's happened. You can see me browsing through some presets and after a wile the error message pops up, then POD Farm just disapears. I have also uninstalled the redistributable C++ pack from my computer. Didn't help.
Hope this helps.

I have to bump this one again. I got a support ticket for this issue and went away for a vacation same day as i got the ticket and stayed away for more than businiess 5 days, so the ticket is closed. Is there a way to open up the ticket again?
