No sound No Display

I bought this used Vetta in January, I dont get time to play a lot maybe once every two weeks but during my minimal playing my Vetta has suffered twice with no sound no display, first time I had to initialize and load OS and presets again several times before getting it to work again.
When it happened first time, I thought my kids are responsible for something cause they like to press lots of buttons on the amp when I am playing, so now both kids are banned from touching the amp at all, but today it happened again and I am wondering is this pointing to some underlying problem, maybe I got a malfunctioning Vetta to begin with?
Any help/advice will really help.
Thanks

Try reflashing it again. If that works then it appears that the flash memory may not be holding. This may be due to the flash memory battery getting old and tired.
There is a battery on the main board that is used to keep the Vetta's memory in tact. If the battery dies, the Vetta starts forgetting who it is what it's doing.
If the reflashing it doesn't help at all then it may be a deeper issue but the back up battery may still be the culprit.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, first thanks for your prompt response.
now I checked the battery, removed the board on which I have the battery and checked through multimeter that its producing 3V.
so I put everything back together, and decided to re-flash everything (since I have no display but the green background light)
very first step says "Turn off your Vetta, then turn it on while holding down the Comp button"... well I still get nothing on the screen
I do remember the last when I had to do this it took me several tries and (now I cant remember) an unorthodox method to get things going.
I have a bad feeling about this looks like this amp is done now, I will try few more times but can you tell me how to erase whatever I have on my flash and than start over with this process? I know erase should be in one of the update steps but I wonder if I can just erase data on this and start fresh. I will search pdf and search online for this.
Will keep you guys posted in case you also have to go through this, btw if anyone is interested the motherboard batter is CR2430

I agree with Crusty. Try reinstalling the flash a few more times. If oyu are unsuccessful then you should get the unit to your nearest authorized service center for repair.

Line6Miller,
yep I tried reflashing several times, but I cant see anything except for green light on big display, on small display I see green light and black LCD boxes.
one thing I noticed though, when I opened the amp last night, the connectors were basically very loose, so I secured few connections by putting tape on top of those. I will open amp again today and secure all connections before giving it few more tries for re-flashing, else I've already talked to local Line6 service center and have an appointment with them for tomorrow.
Thanks

ok guys I found the issue, apparently amp was kind of working all along and it was voltage issue with the power supply. Apparently amp was getting just enough voltage to feed the backlight for displays and LEDs for switches, but was not able to drive the digital processor or also maybe entire card.
Here is how I found the reason, last week I dropped this amp at line6 service center, the guy told me to call this week to find out about the status of the amp. I called yesterday and he said the amp is working fine and he has not been able to reproduce this issue for last few days. I was very happy to hear that but was also very confused why amp acted this way, so when I was driving over to pick up the amp I was thinking of common reasons between two times this amp stopped working.
But the thing that confused most is that in past I was able to play this amp with my computer, keyboard powered monitor, mixer and another effect processor without any issues why it happened just now. I discussed in detail with service technician who then introduced me to the in-house expert who do lot of outdoor sound and carnivals electric setups. He told me,although indoor aluminum usage for electric wiring is prohibited, builders still use aluminum wiring to run power from street all the way to the main circuit board, and aluminum starts getting bad after 5 or 6 years, but why specially I saw low voltage issue is cause it was raining when this happened with Vetta, and during rain condensation on aluminum creates voltage resistance, and probably voltage in my music room was already border line and all combine factors just pushed it over the limit (under the limit is probably correct phrase). I bought amp home and with all above mentioned items plugged into power strip I turned Vetta on without any issue.
So if anyone else also have this issue make sure you are getting correct voltage and try your amp in a different room which is on a different breaker. A point to note though, there may still be little issue with power distribution in Vetta, cause it really shouldnt partially turn on. If you guys have any comments on power distribution malfunctioning please let me know.
Thanks
I need to buy a line tester to check voltage on my line
Thanks for the detailed explanation here. I'm glad you were able to figure out what the issue was.
If your issue has been resolved may we now close this thread?
