Spider III 150 / FBV SB MkII Foot Controller

Just bought the FBV SB MkII to use with my Spider III 150 Combo. I connect it to the amp and the board appears to get power...but nothing seems to work. None of the footswitches respond. What am I doing wrong?

    Hello,

       

      That is not expected behavior. The first thing you should rule out is your CAT 5 cable. Try another one and see if that helps.

       

      If not, connect your pedal to your computer via USB, download Line 6 Monkey from http://line6.com/software/, launch Monkey and go to the Updates tab and then update the flash memory on your pedal.

       

      Once you have updated the flash, calibrate your pedal by following the instructions pointed out in the FAQ below.

      Thanks for the suggestions.  I had already tried a different CAT 5 cable to no avail.  I ended up taking the board back to the store.  They couldn't get it to work either.  It's just a bad board.  They're going to send it back to their supplier.  They gave me another one, which we tested before I took it home.  This one works fine so far.  No problems...yet.  Right now...the board does everything I expected it to do.  Do I need update any software or firmware on this new board...or should I leave as it is?

    Hello,

       

      Glad to hear that you got everything working. I'd suggest updating the firmware when you have the chance simply because the new update will allow you to calibrate your pedal. You can wait to do this if you want but if you start hearing your wah and volume not sweeping all of the way this is because the pedal needs to be calibrated.
