Spider III 120

Hi,

I have some problmes with mi Spider III 120 amp. I turn the amp on and everything seems ok. After 10 or 15 minutes of playing it makes a sound and lowers its volume after that it makes a very loud squeling and can't play no more. If I unplugged mi guitar the squealing stops, but at soons as the cable touches the input pulg the squeling is back. It seems to be a short circuit problem or grounding issue. I unscrew the electronics and put the hardware unit apart form the speakers and the problem seems to stop.

Have you heard of something like that?... do you have any suggestions I can make myself before I pay some checkup?. The amp is a year and a half old, I'm the first owner and it has have ver light use. I like the amp a lot but right know I'm kind of dissapointed that I'm starting having problmes so soon with that little use.

I hope you can help me.

Thanks!

Regards.

Sounds like multiple problems...check your guitar first. Sounds like a bad connection at the cable to the guitar...not the amp. Grounding sounds like a problem. Not sure where your located but if its not the US you may have some issues with ground in the place your plugging the amp in. Household grounds arent the best,or non-exsistant... especially in other countries.

    Hello,

It sounds like your amp may have a couple of issues. Possibly a bad DSP or even some power amp problems.

Where did you purchase the amp?

How long have you had it?

It sounds like you will need to take this amp in for service.

    Hello,

There is no manufacturer bug or known issue that describes the issue you are experiencing. It still sounds like a hardware issue to me though.

You should definitely contact your local repair center or distributor to arrange a repair.
