Noise on Spider Jam

Hello, first of all sorry for my english. I'm Italian and I bought a used Spider Jam just yesterday. I already did the firmware upgrade to 2.09, everything seems to work perfectly. I noticed a noise coming up suddenly when I play on a song base or drum base. It appears while I'm playing and it decreases the global volume (base and guitar) and you can hear that something is not working properly. I stop my playing and I can clearly hear this noise-vibration. The only way to stop it, is to take out and re-insert the jack of my cable one-two or more times. Doing that, this noise stop. Just to be sure, I have used several cables, all of them new, the problem is still there. Any idea? Thanks a lot.
Hi, please consider that this noise comes up even if you are not playing. Just leaving the SJ swithed on with the guitar cable inseterd, the noise sometimes comes and increases its intensity. Again to stop it, only take out and plug in the cable several times.
I have done some additional tests. First of all, the noise comes indipendently from the presence of the cable, even if SJ is on alone this noise comes. I tryed the most popular method to solve problems: I beat with my hands first on top of SJ, the noise changed and after disappeared, than I beat from the back side of SJ just in correspondance of the inputs plate. again the noise changed. I definitly think theere's something like grounds or wires not properly connected. Do you think I can open the SJ by myself and check internally the connections?
If your amp is out of warranty and you want to try fixing it yourself, I have instructions here - http://www.joesjamblog.com/troubleshooting.html
Bad connections are quite common with this amp due to the push-on connectors used. It usually just requires them to be wiggled around a bit using a non-metallic stick. I use a wooden chopstick. First of all, read the disclaimer and safety notes.
If your amp is still in warranty or you not confident about doing such things, take it to a service center.
Hello,
That noise is not expected behavior. If you are still under warranty you should contact your local Line 6 distributor and have the amp repaired.

Thank U guys for your support. Unfortunately I don't know exactly if my AMP is still under warranty, it is used and I don't now when it had been purchesed. I'll try to do something according to your indication and I'll let you know the result. Thanks again.
I'd at least try to get in touch with your distributor. That noise sounds like it could be an issue we ran into when the Spider Jam was first released. We can cover that under warranty if it is a tech bulletin in our service manual.
Call your distributor and find out if there is a tech bulletin for that issue.
