Hello,

This is a good idea.  I live in the middle of nowhere just below the alberta/sask border in Montana and finding people to jam with is not easy.  I have a Jm4 and a zoom H4n that came with Cubase.  I record everything out of my amp (Carvin Belair 212) and put it in cubase which I know very little about.  I have a tone port but don't like recording with it - I like the raw sound coming out the amp, even though it's  "rougher", it's sounds more human.  I use the drum tracks from the Jm4 and lay down a riff to get the groove.  I think it would be really cool to put one up and see how different people approach it - kinda like standing around jamming and everyone takes a turn.  I love improv.   I'll put one up in the next post and put the drum track and key with it.  Hope all is well with everyone

Shug

    You made my day!

I'm sure this is the first time in my life (and I'm 56) I've heard an American describe their location in the US relative to a Canadian landmark!  Actually, I guess I would describe the Alberta-Saskatchewan border as being in the middle of nowhere too!

I'm in Calgary, about 275 miles NW of Great Falls ;-)

        Re: You made my day!

As my name hints, I play classical (and flamenco) guitar. I have been accumulating some electric gear but so far haven't got past playing some of my favorite classic rock solos with backing tracks. The day job sure gets in the way. I bought a DVD blues course last spring with the intention of trying to make some progress over the summer while on vacation, but it's hard to tear myself away form my sailboat. As you might know, it doesn't get dark here in summer until 10 to 11 pm!
