I get a free pod farm to use with mi pod x3 live, but they don't work. When I try to use it show the mensage
"No compatible Line6 USB divice have been detected", and show the options, UX1 UX2 GX KB37 TonePort UX1...... Until Guitar port".
After that the software open but don't work, there is a mensage in the botton " NO autorized device conected, pod farm cannot process audio"
I folowed the instructions of the "pod farm use guide" but nothing work. What I can do to solver that problem?
The free version of PodFarn that comes with the POD is only the plugin version, you must run it from within your DAW. See this DOC for more info: http://line6.com/community/docs/DOC-4780
Ok but how can I use it as a plug in?
A plugin is something you load in your DAW (recording software) and apply it to your tracks like an effect such as reverb or delay. The idea is that you can record a dry track and apply the amp/speaker simulations to your track(s) during mix down. It is kind of cool, if you can't find just the right tone, you could record your guitar tracks dry and then setup your tone while it's playing back.
The editor/GUI for the X3 is Gearbox. Use Monkey to downlaod and install it.
Then, why this version of pod farm comes with the POD if you cannot use it?
Just to confuse you, and 5000 other people like myself ![]()
Seriously though, it's a common mistake.
Thanks for your help but I use protools and I instaled this plug in but it doesn't appear anywhere, sorry if my english is not good, I'm from Venezuela. i'll apreciate your help I would like to know how can I use this plugin in a Protools session.
Thanks again, I'll be waiting for your answer
It may not be able to find it. Most plugins are in a generci plugin folder but pod farm is in it's own subfolder in a Line 6 folder. You may have to tell ir where to go to finds this.
Thank you very much! I'm going to try it. I don't know how to tell it where to find it but I suppose that putting the pod farm plugin folder into the Digidesign "plug ins in use" folder it's gonna work!
I'll tell you later.
Brue58ski is correct. I don't know about ProTools but I have Sony Acid Pro and had to tell it where to find the PodFarm plugin.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
