Hi,
My X3 Live was stolen a couple days ago (I just found out today) serial # 21X3L1S5750008051
I was wondering if you have any way to know if someone tries to update the firmware??
Please let me know.
Thanks!

sorry to hear that some low life scum bag has stolen your POD. that's harsh.
i believe line6 can black list serial numbers that are stolen. I'm not sure if their server can track the IP address of anyone trying to use it, but if they can I'm sure they will be able to forward that info to the police if it ever happens.
what's more likely is that the thief would sell it on ebay and the poor unsuspecting new owner would try to register it, and find out that it's stolen after that.
Cheers

Thanks for the sympathy! This really sucks. I'm a working musician, and don't exactly have another $499 to buy a new one! The building it was stolen from apparently doen't have insurance.... Still have to check around the local pawn shops.
That sucks. Sorry to hear it.
You should alert Line 6 to the serial # of the stolen unit. Actually you probably have by virtue of this posting, but I would follow up directly with them as well. That way they can intervene with anyone who tries to re-register the device. Even if it was sold on eBay, the new owner has to provide proof-of-purchase when trying to re-register it with Line 6, so the eBay seller can be tracked. Hopefully you can eventually get compensated if not get your device back.
Good luck!
