MIDI CC for bender pod X3 pro

Hi all

I have been trying to get MIDI CC control of the bender position param on my POD X3 Pro. I canoot seem to control it I have tried both CC1 and CC 79...as well as just about every other controller. I have tried several different hardware midi controllers (novation,FCB1010, etc) and MIDI-OX to send the CC directly to the X3...no joy.Any help would be appreciated.
