Hello,
I'll need you to provide me with more information.
What kind of computer are you using? (detailed specs please)
What operating system is installed on your computer?
What other USB devices do you have connected to your computer?
Have you tried other USB cables?
Have you tried other USB ports on your computer?
Have you tried reinstalling the drivers on your computer for the UX8?

even the monkey can't. my record software i used is reaper 3.13
i used to have windows xp sp 2 before but i never experienced this way.
Hello,
So you've tried all available USB ports on your computer?
Have you tried reinstalling the drivers for your UX8?
Also, have you tried connecting the UX8 to another computer? This will tell us if you have a possible hardware issue or not.

yes, i have done all of that. i think i will try to change my os and check if it will still be the same.
hi... i have already change my os into windows7 ultimate, and i think its now working well it already detects my ux8 for good
but another problem im encountering....when im playing my guitar and recording it to my reaper 3.13 it works well from the start
but, suddenly the sounds stops at about just a second then it comes back again. i dont know what to call to that term
but its not running smoothly.im using neutrik cables to my guitar and to my monitors. Any problems with my ux8?
this time, i never encountered it with my previous windows vista only in windows 7.
Hello,
We don't support Windows 7 right now so it's possible that there are bugs between this OS and our drivers.
If what you are describing sounds like pops and clicks then you should try the following tips in order to troubleshoot this.
1. Fill out your support profile at http://line6.com/account/supportprofile/
2. Ensure that you have tested all cables to make sure that they are not defective (USB, audio, etc.)
3. Ensure that you have all cables connections set up properly
4. Adjust the Buffer Slider in the Line 6 Audio MIDI Control Panel. (Windows Users: Start/All Programs/Line6/Tools/Audio-MIDI Devices; Mac Users: System Preferences/Other/Audio-MIDI Devices)
5. Adjust Sample Rates and Bit Depths in the Line 6 Audio MIDI Control Panel and ensure that the Sample Rates and Bit Depth settings in the Line 6 Audio MIDI Control Panel also match the project settings in your DAW/recording application
6. Ensure that you have the Line 6 device set up in your operating system as the main input/output device (sound card); disable internal sound card in your operating system’s Device Manager control panel
7. Ensure that your Line 6 USB Device is not connected to a powered USB hub; direct USB ports are required and please try ALL available direct USB ports during the troubleshooting process
8. Remove all non-essential USB peripherals from the computer (not the mouse or keyboard)
9. Disable any wireless cards on computer in Device Manager
10. Set Power Schemes on computer in Control Panel (PC Only) to Always On
11. There are also several other tips and optimizations you can make on your PC. Please refer to the following document for more information:
Please try all of the above first and let us know if you continue to have any more problems. Thanks!
