X3 Live 8000900C error

I am having the 8000900C error between my X3 Live and my windows XP laptop.  It worked without problems when I last connected them a few weeks ago.  I read the related discussions but I cannot find any solutions.  The X3 Live still works fine with my G4 Mac (10.4.11) but I would like to solve the problem with my laptop.  Please help, thanks a million.

    Re: X3 Live 8000900C error

Having read the relevant previous discussions you'll know that this code generally indicates a problem with the USB communications. The usual hints are:

Make sure you're using USB 2.0 ports with no hubs. Try different ports on your computer. Try a different USB cable. Systematically remove other USB devices (especially any Logitech devices) and hopefully some configuration will work.

If the above is unsuccessful, manually uninstall and then reinstall all Line 6 software. When reinstalling, start with Line 6 Monkey and carefully follow its instructions when installing the other software. Pay close attention to when Monkey says you should connect/disconnect the X3's USB cable. Reinstall the latest firmware and use Monkey to reflash memory (with the X3 in safe mode).

If none of the above works you may have a hardware problem. You'll want to wait to hear other opinions/suggestions before taking it to a service centre, but that may be what you eventually need to do.

      hi,

i have the same error message with my pod x3 live. on the same pc (xp) i used a pod xt,

that worked fine. now, with the new x3 it doesn´t work anymore. then i switch off and

on the x3 and works fine for 10- 20 minutes. then the audio connection (playback from itunes)

brakes down - silence. then i switch off and on...

i have updated everything with the monkey and tried different usb connections on the pc...

        Re: X3 Live 8000900C error

brauwerkstatt - this sounds like you have the infamous USB Audio Dropout issue with the X3 Live. There's a long history of this issue well documented in this forum. If you want a lot of reading, search the forum on this topic.

The short story is that your device needs a hardware fix to be performed at an authorized Line 6 service center. (See http://line6.com/support/serviceCenters/) The fix is reliable, and will be done free of charge regardless of warranty. You will be required to pay shipping costs if any. You would be wise to contact and make arrangements with the service centre in advance; they may have to order the part. No point in giving your X3L to them early - it will just sit on a shelf waiting for the part.

swing_girl - this doesn't sound like your problem. Let us know how you get on with the earlier suggestions.

    RE: X3 Live 8000900C error

    Hi,

Let us know your findings. I personally suspect the cause for the 8000900C connectivity issue is tied to the USB port of the host computer, the USB driver installed to that port and (probably not) the USB cable itself. The fact you can run it with the Tiger G4 Mac host points to the X3L's USB functionality to be working correctly.

    Re: X3 Live 8000900C error

    hi,

thanks to everybody. I sent mine to the service and i`m waiting for the repair.

Another topic - maybe you have an answer:

Currently i run my guitar with playbacks from the pc and the x3, both together in my

hifi system at home, i am satisfied with the sound.it´s really cool even without using

    a real guitar amplifier.

does line 6 (or any other) offer a mobile (transportable) amplifier system to play the mp3

from the playback (using an mp3 player or cd as source...) together with x3? if i use my marshall

guitar amp, the guitar sounds cool, the playback sucks - okay, this is no hifi amp.

so this must be a mobile hifi system with a lot of power...

    thanks
