FBV Express Vol/Wah pedal maintenance

I inherited a FBV Express pedal from a friend when he purchased a new shortboard mkII. The volume/wah pedal on the FBV Express (MkI) sticks a bit. What can you recommended for cleaning/lubricating the pedal so that it pivots smoothly?
Hello,
When you say it sticks a but do you mean the sweep of the pedal or actual clicking down to go from volume to wah and vice versa?

The sweep of the pedal does not function smoothly. When you apply pressure to pivot the pedal from heel to toe position, it seems to mechanically stick a little which causes less than desireable results (i.e. abrupt volume changes, wah modulation). The switch between volume and wah seems to work fine. It seems liked the sweep would be fine (smooth) if I could lubricate the pedal gear with something. Can you recommend anything for this. Thanks.
Lubricating with something like a lithium grease may work temporarily but you may find yourself back to square one after significant use.
The problem may be that the little washers under the expression pedal is starting to wear out. A service center can replace that for you.
