okay, so ignoring your frustration. what is it that you're trying to do?
I assume you are trying to use pod farm as a plugin? the reason I ask is that you seem very annoyed and I want to make sure that you've actually bought the right thing? as the ilok version of the plugin sort of needs an ilok dongle, just like if you bought a car, you'd need a license to drive it! It does clearly state that you need an ilok before you buy POD Farm, so that's not really something to get annoyed about. you choice then is you buy an ilok or you decide to go for a different product. (check out the attached picture).
With reaper, what is not working? can it not find the plugin (a common issue). if that's the case, go into reaper audio properties, and add a search location for looking for VST's. it's something like C:\Program Files\Line 6\POD Farm\VST. That's not correct as I'm not on my home PC to check, but look in there and you'll find it. also if you'd prefer to put it somewhere else, reinstall POD Farm, and one of the pages you probably just ignored and clicked next on, actually tells you where the plugin is installed to and gives you the choice to install it to a directory that's already scanned by reaper.. again, that's your choice, so perhaps in future, reading things may help you be less frustrated.
If that's not the case, please give us as much info as you can, as I use POD Farm with reaper 32 and 64bit and it works fine.

Okay, I got the podfarm registered, the ilok registered, now when I open the plugin in reaper I do not get a screwball message that tells me something is screwy. I click on the FX for reaper and add an EQ, which works fine, then I try to add the podfarm FX plugin and get complete "silence". I take out the checkmark next to the podfarm plugin and I again hear the EQ plugin, check the box for the podfarm plugin, silence. I try to drag a podfarm preset into a guitar track and nothing, silence.

+1 to Rowbi's response.
Also, looking at your account, I am unable to find a purchased POD Farm license. i can only see a deposited POD Farm 15 day free trial that has been sent to your iLok online account.
Did you make sure to synchronize the iLok key with your account so that it receives the iLok license?
If so, just follow Rowbi's helpful advice to use the POD Farm plug-in software within your recording problem.
If you continue to have issues, please provide us with as much detail as you can concerning the software and versions you are using, your computer hardware and specs, all the steps you have taken to make it work, and where you come across a problem.
Regards,
Line6Hugo

If you check again you should see all of that license crap worked out. Now I don't get an "unregistered" message in reaper, all that I now get using the plugin to spice up a track is complete silence.
I don't mean to be a nasty *** but this "process" is extremely bitter tasting, all of this registering back and forth between two sites, typing in codes that are 30 plus digits long at the pod farm site (code activation). I bought this pod farm for approximately $125 bucks from music center canada in camrose, alberta, canada, specifically asking them if anything else was necessary to boot this thing up. They said, no.
I have checked the box. In bold white it says. "A dream collection of celebrated sounds at your fingertips." It also says, 23 guitar and Bass Amp Modes." On the front of the package it says, "The Premium Tone Plug-in."
HOWEVER...the one thing that does not radiate from the packaging is this: YOU NEED AN ILOK WHICH WILL COST YOU $50 OR MORE IN ORDER TO ACTIVATE THIS PLUGIN!
That cannot be found on my packaging.
Then I bought the item, opened the box, and received the "ilok" information. I told these dudes I wanted to return the package, they wouldn't, so after a few months of waiting for them to change their mind I purchased an ilok from Axe music in Edmonton. Now I have a pod farm, an ilok, and a "silent" plug in following a ton of frustrating back and forths between two sites, the ilok dudes and the line 6 dudes.
For goodness sakes, what is the POINT in all of this freakin confusion?? To save some money via a few musicians who may or may not pirate here and there. I'll tell you what, it is my opinion that line 6 is "losing" a whole lot more than they are gaining by this ridiculous attempt to save a few bucks here and there. One reason I want to work this crap out is because I have already purchased the software and if I was a kid who wanted to own this product, yet had very little cash on hand, the ilok would be a real beast, dude, something nasty for this kid. I have enough money that it isn't nasty for me, but my concern is for the young musician who doesn't have a whole lot of cash on hand. My cash loss on this purchase is next to nothing because I have a bit more to toy with on a monthly basis. Teens don't have that surplus, dude, they struggle for a dime unless they have a part time job.
I can promise line 6 that I will not purchase one more piece of software from them after this nightmare UNLESS things change for
poor, yet concerned, musicians who need some hardware or software. I'm not personally lacking in funds but I do know that many young musicians are. I was once there, did that, and know what it's like. Now my last consideration is money, I could buy anything I wanted. My appeal is for the young dude or dudette who wants to play music and can't afford a whole lot of great stuff. A lot of Line 6 stuff is excellent, but when a young dude buys software that needs a freakin "ilok", that's a nasty the dude cannot afford.
line 6, with one ounce of "trust" you may glean 10 who take advantage, but 1000 who appreciate and remain faithful. Shut this ilok crap up and I guarantee that you will get more followers.
I also know that I am not the only one who thinks that this "ilok" collaboration smells like some skunk who crawled out of the *** of a dead skunk. I personally don't really care much if I work the technical thing out --it would be nice, yes -- because a few dollars means little to me. It's the freakin' "insult" to me personally where I am not trusted enough with your product that you need to put me through this crazy insulting process. Tell you what, if a person or a company treats me with respect, I will keep on keepin on with that company, even if they make some production mistakes here and there from time to time. I stick with them because they seem to "trust" me, and that is always excellent.
With this process I feel invaded, taken advantage of, and molested. Nice work.
Let me clarify something here, I have other line 6 products, a spider 3, that I absolutely love. Thankfully, when I purchased that amp no nazi like decision maker knocked on my door looking for some 35 digit license in order to create some validification that I own that amp legally. That is exactly how I felt with this software nasty, line 6, just so y'all know. I love your products, dude, trust me more and I will buy more, honest.
Line 6, I will respect you just a touch more if you do not delete this post. Then, at least, I will know that you "listen" to us way down dudes who love your hardware, but are looking for a bit of trust with the software, y'all

That being said, if any of you techies can work out why my little pod farm doesn't wish to speak as an FX addition to a track, I'd appreciate it.

Norm,
please take a moment and calm down. I'll do my best to help you out.
It looks like you were able to deposit the plug in to your iLok account so we're good there.
What version of Reaper are you using? What are the specs of your computer? Have you downloaded the l;latest version of POD Farm from our software downloads page? That may be a good idea considering you may have not received the latest version of POD Farm on the disc. The download of the app itself is free so you won't need to buy it.
Let me know about your software versions and computer specs so we can continue to troubleshoot this. Thanks.

4 sale
podfarm and ilok
$25
You pay shipping and handling: includes box (slightly damaged) and ilok. In otherwords, you get the pod farmer dude for free and you pay for that wonderful ilok key that keeps everything so nicely "secure" by the powers that be, and you get to do all of the online crap that is required. Hell, if someone will give me $10 I will send them both the ilok and the pod farmer, and will package these pieces of crap myself, nicely and securely, and will pay shipping, just because I presently feel generous. Ship me off an email with your address, I would love to get this pair of nasties off of my table, out of my life forever. This crap equipment is working me up much too much, and it just is not worth it. It is like a divorce, you do not want to do it because you see the potential, yet you will do it because it "sucks" overall.
Hey, line 6, send me a cheque for 1 dollar and I will ship off the entire garbage can of equipment back to you, with shouting of happiness that I do not need to deal with this ignorant product any longer. Cheers- Report Abuse
