Problem with FBV Shortboard (Mk 1, Original Vetta Amp)

Hi: I went to use the tone library to update some new user sounds (first time I did this, connecting the Vetta through Midi to my computer) and, after downloading a couple of new sounds successfully, my FBV Shortboard now only reads "Line 6" when I power it up. All the lights blink, and then it reads "Line 6" but none of the foot switches work on the FBV Shortboard. Did I make a mistake using the Line 6 monkey somehow? Nothing else changed in my setup, the only difference was the download of new patches, so perhaps that's a clue. I tried recalibrating my FBV Shortboard but that made no difference...I also tried to replace the connecting cable between the amp and the FBV but that didn't help. Any ideas are much appreciated, thanks in advance!!
Hello,
The problem may be more with the amp. You could have downloaded a corrupted tone or patch that is freezing the FBV. What I'd suggest is backing up your Vetta patches with Line 6 Edit and then reinstalling the flash memory in the Vetta.
Please see the link below for instructions on how to do that and let me know if this helps. Thanks.

Hi Line6Miller: Sorry I didn't get back sooner, but unfortunately the flash procedure didn't change the status of the Shortboard. The lights cycle through when the amp is turned on, but then it returns to the Line 6 display and none of the switches work. I'm up for any suggestions, since the pedal worked fine (even dragging it to a few gigs) until I tried to load some patches. You would think this update would've done the trick! Thanks again for any insights---
