TonePort DI-S No Sound

I just received my TonePort DI-S from my GuitarPort bundle. I installed all of the software. I have the TonePort plugged in. I have a green light. I have re-installed drives more than once. I have restarted the computer more than once. I have switched USB port, computer front panel not a hub. I have all of the up to date Drivers, USB, Gear Box, etc.
I am getting no sound through my computer speakers from the Guitar. I see needles moving on Gear Box. I have twisted knobs, pushed buttons, tried combinations of things. I can hear the video tutorials played from the embedded browser at the bottom of gear box just fine.
I know there is something super simple that I am not seeing here. Why can't I hear my guitar played through my PC speakers?
thanks

are you computer speakers plugged into your cmputers built in sound card (which isn't being used when the toneport is connected, as the toneport becomes your sound card).
so connect your speakers to the toneport.
yes, my speakers are plugged into the back of my computer. The TonePort DI-S does not have a female speaker inlet the same size as my male speaker cable. PC speakers are a standard small plug. The TonePort DI-S is much lager, more like the big fat jack from those old stereo headphones or guitar cable. I don't see how it is possible to plug any speakers or head phones i have into the TonePort DI-S. All I have connected to it right now is the USB cable.
so I would have to go buy an adapter to go from small to big and plug my speakers into the head phone jack of the TonePort DI-S?
I just realized if I bought an adapter to use my PC speakers. I would not be able to hear tracks in GearBox and play the guitar at the same time. I would need two sets of speakers. Why doesn't the TonePort DI-S play sound via the USB? Like I said I can see the GearBox needles move as I strum or pick notes. If I turn the guitar volume down, Gear Box no long shows activity. Turn the guitar volume back up and watch those needles dance. The Gear Box is not on mute either. The only mute I found in play is on the 3-4 send above the monitor knob. That was on mute by default.
Is there no way to route the GearBox and/or TonePort DI-S through the PC speakers via the computer? I mean am I really going to have to buy more cables, adapters, etc. just to use this thing? It just seems as if there is a way to get this to all play through the PC.
I finally gave up trying to figure out how to run the sound thru the PC. I just went to the store and bought a 3.5 mm to 1/4 inch adapter. I can only hear out of one speaker for some reason, but at least i can hear.
Hello,
you are over complicating things.
If you want to leave your speakers connected to your computer here is what you need to do.
1. Buy a 1/4" to to 1/8" in Y cable. The 1/4" side should have 2 mono leads and the 1/8" side should have one stereo lead.
2. Run the 1/4" sides out of the left/right analog outs on the TonePort.
3. Plug the 1/8" stereo side to the Line In on your computer (this will be located near your speaker out)
4. Go to your Windows Control Panel and look under sounds and audio devices. Under the audio tab, set the TonePort to be your main input and output device.
Please see the following video tutorial for more info on this.

Hi,
That is most likely because you purchased a stereo 1/4" to 1/8" adapter. But the issue is: one of the Analog Outs (1 or 2) is not stereo, it's a mono output. Therefore, you're only going to ever get a one-sided output into a stereo speaker cable connect point.
This is what you'll need: http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Monster-Cable-MCL-MSTMINI-2FM-18-Stereo-Male-to-2-4-Mono-Female-Cable-Adapter?sku=330059&src=3WFRWXX&ZYXSEM=0&CAWELAID=43140940
Then, you can connect 2 little 1/4" mono patch cables to the Analog Outs 1/2 (Left/Right). You should then hear full stereo output at your speakers.
