Re: Best Amp / PA for HD500?
If stereo effects are not so important I would suggest a Keyboard amplifier. They tend to have a flat responce that will set in nicely with the modeled environment. Also they are pretty road worthy. Roland has a 65W thats nice on the budget. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/KC150?utm_source=CSE&utm_medium=PPC&utm_campaign=none&utm_term=KC150&SID=0&zmam=89202644&zmas=1&zmac=1&zmap=KC150

Re: Changing from 2 Tech 21 Power Engines to 2 Behringer B812NEO
My remedy was to get a very natural sounding powered PA (Alto 12") and then a Roland KC300. I run them together but with the Roland slightly in front volume wise. I get amp tone from the amp with that little extra deep bass and extra "articulate" treble from the PA backing it up a bit.

Re: Looking for Amp for Pod HD 500.
I purchased a Roland KC 60 & it performs so bad on my POD.Just couldn't handle the power. However the biger KC's do better ,specially the 550.My Peavey keyboard amp is no good for a POD too.Does not match up to the headphone/Studio Speaker quality.

Re: Best (non-guitar) amplifier for HD500?
Hey Ivan. I've been using a Roland KC-300 keyboard amp with my POD X3L and HD500. I've been ... the sound guy. There are newer versions of the Roland KC amp series, but I picked up a couple ... I then take the 1/4" HD500 output and send it to channel 1 of the KC-300. I then take my monitor feed from the board and plug it into channel 2 of the KC-500. I have the sound guy make my monitor feed

HD500 not clear explaining
On the GT10 there are manuals that literally take you step by step how to do this. I have scoured net and manuals, is there a simple step by step manual I can download to do this. Also I am plugging my new HD into a Roland KC550. I am using unbalance output to KC550 and guitar input. HD output is on Sudio/Direct. So far it doesn't sound to good. Just wondering If I have done correctly. Also

Re: What are you using for Amplification?
For a long time I used a Roland KC-500 keyboard amp with modelers. That worked pretty well, since I played keyboard too and could just use the one amp. Then I traded in the 80+ lb. KC-500 for a KC-150, thinking I could save the weight in exchange for just some low end <80Hz that guitar doesn't need anyway... and ran into clipping transients on clean patches, and distortion on the first frets

Re: best powered monitors for pod hd 500 in a live band setting ?
I have gone through a number of amps looking for a stage monitor to use at church with my HD500 and finally settled on the Roland KC-300. It's a keyboard amp, but it had the least amount ... with the EQs flat and the gains way down (both input and output) around 3 or less. Roland also makes bigger and smaller KC units depending on how much sound you need. It's discontinued, but I picked

Re: FRFR Powered Speaker vs full PA
thats my idea to get full control of FULL AMPS without be changing the output mode.... Right now Im using a marshall mg100dfx but some tones sound better than other... Instead of being dealing with it I just bought a Roland KC300 to make my tone and using as monitor at Church... Im done with the marshall and hopefully Im going get better on my tones!!!! Im so impatient to get my package...

Re: Studio Monitors or Amp w/ HD500??
A keyboard amp would be the best solution to get the sound of a mic going into a PA since it is essentially a standalone PA system itself. I have used several and now have a Roland KC-550 which sounds excellent. I prefer this solution to a guitar amp because I go back and forth between electric and acoustic with my Variax and I even use it as my entire PA when doing solo acoustic gigs.

Re: What's your FRFR rig? HD500
I have the EV ELX112P as well for my PA, but have tried it as a monitor for my HD500 and highly recommend it. Check americanmusical.com for "B" stock at $479. When I was running FRFR before I got my DT25, I used a Roland KC-550 and loved it. I would definitely suggest trying that out as well if you want an amp behind you.

Re: POD HD + HiFi Amp + Guitar cab?
Really, the best solution for what you are trying to do is to get a keyboard amp. If you are trying to keep costs down, look for a used one, but make sure it's powerful enough and doesn't color the sound. I have used 4 different ones. The Roland KC-550 is the best I have used. The behringer ... or bigger, but the price would be up to the point where you might as well look at the Roland.
