Pod Pro to computer interface

I have been trying to get my Pod Pro to communicate with the Line 6 Editor program. I purchase a midi interface (E-MU Systems Midi 1x1), uploaded the disk, got rid of all my Java files, uploaded Line 6 Editor which, as claimed, reloaded Java, checked my cable 100 times, have the Pod Pro set to Midi on Channel 1. Still can't get the editor program to communicate with the Pod Pro. I tried to download the Monkey program but it tells me it does not have anything available for my model. Another thing I noticed is that the Line 6 editor pull down menu does not include the Pod Pro as an option. So I'm a bit stuck here. All I am trying to do is to view my presets on my computer. Must be a way...
Please advise,
Bud Reichard
No I haven't. Where do I find that??
Bud
Okay, I found the Sound Diver on the disk that came with the Pod Pro. I downloaded it and hooked everything up and I still can not get the Pod Pro to communicate with either the Line 6 editor or the Sound Diver.

First Id start by getting the Latest drivers for the Midi interface!
Then go here to get the latest "Sounddiver" : http://line6.com/software/
"Version 3.0
Released 6/27/03
Works with:
Bass POD
Bass POD Pro
Flextone II
POD
POD 2.0
POD Pro"
| Note: this software is presented for archival purposes and is no longer supported. SoundDiver gives you deep editing control of POD from your computer. SoundDiver version 3 supports Bass POD Pro, as well as POD, POD 2.0, POD Pro, Bass POD and Flextone II! MD5: 93fb3372447e4e7d464349175a1a370d | |
| OS: Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows 98SE | |
Then get Midiox, A Midi Monitor (among other things) to see if you are indeed sending Midi out of the POD! : http://www.midiox.com/
All this to eliminate the "Software" as the issue!
Another Note, remember that the Midi Out goes to the Midi in! Both ways! And that your Device in soundiver will not be seen under the Pods name but the actual name of the Midi interface!
Hi,
As Loony mentioned, make sure that your drivers for your MIDI interface are updated and installed properly.
Next, make sure to download the latest version of Line 6 Edit (3.02) as this is compatible with your POD.
Double check your cables too. Some MIDI devices require that you connect the IN to the IN and the OUT to the OUT.
