I have a GX and i just got Cubase 4, basicly what i tried doing is opening an audio track in Cubase. It didnt pick up ANY sound from my GX, all i want is Cubase to pick up my GX sounds and thats it, I have POD Farm open, with a tone i like i just want to record that. I need a SIMPLE Explanation of what to do, im a highschool student COMPLETELY NEW to recording and mixing and editing, i just want to simply record and need a quick explanation of what to do,I have the GX pluged into a speaker thats not on my computer, if that somehow makes a difference.
Thank You in advance.
Hello,
Since you're so brand new to recording I don't want you to take this the wrong way. Bottom line is that when you are just starting out there is no simple explanation. Everything will be long winded and daunting. It's just the way it is.
Now, having said that, please make sure to read the following manuals about your GX.
Make sure the speakers you are plugging into the GX headphones out are self powered or you will not hear anything. Also, make sue that you are at least getting an input signal into Gearbox or POD Farm.
In Cubase, create your audio track and arm it for recording. Set the inputs and outputs on the track to see the GX. That's basically it.
