Midi recording too early

Hello

I'm using the KB37 with Cubase 5 and I seem to be experiencing the same problem as this person http://line6.com/community/message/50524#50524

After playing and recording the midi (reasonably) in time, upon playback the midi plays back the notes before they were truely recorded (please see screenshot for example of 2 bars of crotchets played on the beat).

I have tried the following the advice on the previous post but to no avail.

The system I am running is

MSIVR705 Laptop

Intel Premium Dual CPU 2.16Ghz

3 gig of Ram

Cubase 5.0.1

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

Leigh

    hi

you'd better try your KB37 on a different PC, just to make sure your unit's ok

if this is the case, this should be software or computer related (obvious... )

the case mentioned on the other thread is different, it mentions audio and midi not being synchro, which may simply be caused by system's audio latency

    hope this helps

    cheers!

Try rearranging your asio/midi connection, adjust the latency (play with it), make sure to disarm Audio recording tracks while recording midi...

Pretty sure it would not do the same with another Daw
