LINE 6 RIFFTRACKER - INSTALLATION PROBLEMS

Hi, my name is Doug and I have a question about the Line 6 Riff Tracker. I purchased it years ago but have recently bought a new laptop and am having difficulty getting it up and running. I've installed it with the CD included in the original package, and when I click the icon the following message appears:
"Riffworks Line 6 is running in Demo Mode. To save, mix, riffcast and export you need to purchase a licence key, then activate Riffworks with the licence key using the Line 6 Moneky application. Would you like to learn more now?"
I use the program as my primary means of recording so am anxious to get it working. A friend of mine says that I need to download a patch to get the program running in Windows Vista. Is there any truth in that?
I'm not very computer minded, so any advice you would be able to give me would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Doug
