Variax 600 Problem

I have a variax 600 which is connected to a XT Live unit. Most of the time the system is stable, but what has started to happen of late is the variax rguitar andom switches guitar sounds and tunings. This is restored as soon as a reselect the guitar patch from the XT Live.

    This can and does happen on the 300's too.  Sometimes it's due to poor insulation between some of the shielded electronics modules internal to the guitar on the 300's and electrician's tape placed strategically can sometimes resolve the issue.  You could try re-flashing the firmware which will sometimes rectify issues like this but if that doesn't do the trick, it would be better to get the guitar to an Authorised  Service Centre for repair.
