I was hoping that if I bought a variax guitar, using the Variax to Vetta II line6 cable, I would be able to record the guitar in polyphonic midi on a computer and possibly get the guitar to drive midi instruments for live performance in the same way that a keyboard player can.  My Vetta software is v2.5.

Is there any way this can be achieved via the Vetta?

If not, does anyone have any experience of successfully and accurately converting polyphonic audio into midi, preferably in real time.
