Let's Swap/Share Pod X3 Bundles, shall we?

As of April 4, 2009, here are the bundles I have in the zipped folders:
(1) Pod Farm Preset Bundles -- thanks to Studio TM for this -- he made bundles for each of the X3's preset songs (3 bundles there) and each of the preset folders (acoustic, low gain, medium gain, high gain) -- pretty incredible.
(2) The "User Bundle" is a hodgepodge of bundles from the old "let's swap/share bundles" thread. As of 4/4/09, we've got:
Benvesco (aka Malhavok)
Fester2k
Frosty
Jeff Lynyrd
Lincoln Brewster
Miles L
Minimum Blue (again, thanks to Studio TM for that one!)
JY Florida
Rufio Chris
LeSerge
Bazooka Joe
Mr. Slugworth
Aaron
cmz1k
Glenn DeLaune (aka "GangsterUSA")
6 Strings for Him
KC Pod
Rowbi
Jeraxle
Linuxusr
Some of these are very, very old, so if you've got an updated one, please let me know and I'll be more than happy to swap it out.
(3) Spritiguitar's dual tone bundle -- this deserved its own zip file, IMHO.
Happy hunting!
Cheers,
Fester2k

Thanks, Linuxusr -- added your bundle to the batch!
By the way, if the church is a rockin', should we bother knockin'? ![]()
Cheers,
Fester2k
I would like to add the "Spirit Bundle" which includes a few dual-tone patches. Some clean/chorus, some crunch, some lead. Volume has already been "leveled".
Great idea -- added it to the group of bundles on the first post. Thanks!
Cheers,
Fester2k

I could wile away the hours
Conferrin' with the flowers
Climbin' any hump
And my head I'd be scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a BUMP
I'd unravel any riddle
For any individ'le
Who's looking for some thump.
(Dorothy)
With the thoughts you'd be thinkin'
You could be another Lincoln [Brewster]
If you only had a BUMP.
(Scarecrow)
Oh, I would tell you why
The ocean's near the shore
I could think of things I never thunk before
And then I'd sit and think some more
I would not be just a nuffin'
My head all full of stuffin'
My throat all full of lump
I would dance and be merry
Life would be a ding-a-derry
If I only had a BUMP.
Cheers,
Fester2k
This is most certainly a noob question.
How exactly do I go about loading these presets, or getting them onto GearBox?
You use the Open Bundle Button (top left) of the Hardware Manager to load the bundles into Gearbox. If you want to load them into your X3 you use the Put Button and it overwrites the current bundle in your pod, like wise you can use the Monkey's Advanced Tab to load individual patches, banks or the whole bundles into your X3. But the later is permant instead of just loading the bundle to check out the tones...when you power off and back on your original X3 tones will still be in the X3. This video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_u8j9ZAUzC4 will help by showing you how to download and sync tones from CustomTone.com. It will be helpful to familiarize yourself with loading Gearbox even though it's about customtone.com patches.
All of this is covered in the Gearbox PDF manual that you can download.
Hi,
How do you open a .x3m file? My computer can't find a program to open it.
Thanks,
Dan
Edit
I take that back
Use GearBox --
the .x3m is the file extension on the X3 Dual Tone Bundles and has to be opened the way I mention above in the Hardware Manager once the whole bundle is loaded in GearBox - you open the 128 patches (if a full bundle) with the Hardware Manager. You can save individual Dual Tone patches with GearBox and they still appear as a .l6t file in the folders by File> Dual Tone > Save As but will only open as a dual tone by File > Dual Tone > Open...they will not open as a dual tone if you try to open from the Tonelocker
This should help:
see page 5-14 to 5-19 in the GearBox pdf manual
http://line6.com/support/manuals/
GearBox (standalone not GearBox Plug-In)
Hey Joe? Where ya goin with that gun in your hand? I just had to say that! ![]()
I had to use the OPEN tab in Gearbox to see the file.
Thanks for the help!
Dan

No worries, happy to help.
.
Just don't sue me -- sue the Peruvian beanpicker who picked the coffee bean that ended up in your cup. And the widow of the coffee grinder's designer. And the manufacturer of your monitor for not filtering funny clips from Blazing Saddles.
Cheers,
Fester2k
Don't worry...you're safe for now.
But I'll also have to add the cup manufacturer that didn't properly warn me that my coffee would be hot....
