G50/G90 Cable Question

Hello, you guys say that the replacement cable for the G50/G90 systems are the Shure wa-302/304 cables.
The pinout on the TA4F connector for the Shure wa-302/304 cables is the following:
| 1/4" Phone Plug | Tiny QG Connector (TA4F) |
| Tip (Red and Black) | Pin 3 |
| Sleeve (Shield) | Pin 1 |
| Pins 2 and 4: not connected |
Upon disassembling the cable that came with the G50/G90 systems,
It seems as the pinout is the following:
Pin 3: Tip
Pin 4: Sleeve
Pin 1: Sleeve
Pin 2: Not Connected
What is the Pin 4?? The shure cable is not connected but the relay cable is?
Thanks
Either way will work fine.
If there is no difference weather you tie pin #1 & #4 together, or leave pin #4 open, why does Line 6 tie them together? There must be a reason.
It changes the input impedance.
If it changes the impedance, isn't one better for guitar than the other? Single coil? Humbucker? Frequency responce? Audio level? One has to be better than the other, or they wouldn't have gone through the trouble of making it possible. Please, what are the details.
That's why we tie them together for the instrument cable ... better for pickups. Open is better for mics (which have much lower impedance).
Stay in the mix and in the know.
