Wiring diagram for G50 transmitter cable

How is the transmitter cable for the Relay G50 wired? I wish to make my own cables to better suit my setup.

pin 1 is shield and pin 3 is hot. Others unconnected.

  If pin one is sleeve and pin 3 is hot+ Then why is the original factory cable supplied with the unit wired differently? Was there a product revision that caused this? I think answering this will clear up a lot of confusion amongst Relay Owners.... It might be worth while to post a downloadable document with the proper wiring configurations for the proper models/revisions etc...

    It shouldn't be.
    
    Shorting pin 3 to pin 4 sets the input impedance at 20 k
    
    Leaving it unconnected sets the input impedance at 1.3m
    
    Generally a higher impedance works better with passive pickups. Active pickups may work better at the lower impedance

as per disassembly of the supplied cable,

Pin 1 Sleeve
Pin 2 Open/Not Connected
Pin 3 Tip(audio)
Pin 4 Sleeve

as per Shure replacement cable

Pin 1 Sleeve
Pin 2 Open/Not connected
Pin 3 Tip(audio)
Pin 4 Open/Not connected

I posted the exact info in a thread just recently...

I just soldered a right-angle plug onto one of the supplied cables, and noticed that there was a ground cable AND a blue cable soldered to the sleeve, with the white cable conneceted to the tip.

Should I have changed it (disconnected the blue)? What's the consensus here?
