Prior to gearbox and podfarm, I used an extensive collection of stompboxes, etc for recording [miked amp] but now I pretty much have all I need with podfarm. However, I have an old wah sound [mine is a dunlop classic crybaby] I am looking to record and I am wondering if it is OK to run a stompbox eg a wah into the UX1 to record direct into my DAW or should I still just setup and mike the amp in those situations?
