Line 6 Floor Board

Hey guys, today i finally received my Line 6 Floor Board one of the older ones with 2 pedals and such. See attached picture. Well...when i plugged it into my Spider III 120watt amp it caught on fire...Smoke poured out of the Wah pedal area and refused to work. When i plugged it in i noticed all of the lights were red and none of the switches would work. Has anyone else had this problem? Or anything similar? Thanks!

    RE: Line 6 Floor Board

    Hi,

Sorry to hear about your situation: unfortunately you must not have been aware that the Floorboard controllers are not compatible with any of our Spider II or Spider III amps. They only work with our 1st generation products (the original POD, the Flextone I, Spider I, AxSys, etc.).

Spider III amps require the use of our newer FBV (Express, Shortboard) series controllers. They use a different communication protocol than the Floorboards.

Again, sorry to hear about your experience. At this point, you'll need to have your amp looked at by a service technician to determine the extent of damage: http://line6.com/support/serviceCenters/

      Regards,
