The hipshot tuners on the US models have other hole positions which are not diagonal as on most tuners like the ones on the korean JTVs. There is another thread about what tuners to use if you want to upgrade a korean model. So even if tuners were changed, if you have diagonal holes which will stay in any case on the the back of the head plate this is pretty sure a Korean model, othorewise its American.
