I have so far been very happy with my FBV SHORTBOARD MKI, but just yesterday I turned the amp on with the board connected and the board suddenly became unresponsive, the screen is on, but for some reason the backlight isnt. When I power it up the board gets stuck on the line 6 startup screen until something is changed on the amp itself. at which point, the board shows exactly what it would normally show but the board does absolutely nothIng when you try to change anything on the board. the screen and lights do change, however when you change something on the amp. I calibrated the board and that worked fine, indicating to me that it is not the buttons.
