I have my POD HD 500 and I love it.
I am wating for my DT50 combo amp but I have noticed that there is very little documentation so I thought I would as a couple of questions here so that I am ready to roll when my amp gets here tomorrow.
The first one is.. do I connect my guitar to the POD HD input or to the amp input?
The second one is... I have a harmonizer rack I really like and want to continue to use... should I plug it in in the POD HD effects loop or in the DT50 effects loop?
Hi
You connect your guitar to the POD HD500 guitar input and you use a standard XLR cable to connect the L6 Link output of the HD500 to the L6 Link input on your DT50 fot the best setup and control of the DT50 from the HD500.
You can of course connect the 1/4" output of the HD500 to the Power Amp In socket on the rear of the HD500 like a normal amp if you want.
If you're using L6 Link I think the best place to insert your Harmoniser Rack is in the HD500's FX loop. That way you can configure some patches in the HD500 with an FX loop and others without an FX loop thereby bypassing your Harmoniser when you don't need it.
Best regards
Nick
To clarify further, you only use a regular XLR (M / F) to hook up the HD500 to the DT50. No cable goes into the front guitar inputs of the DT50 when you use the L6 Link. You'll have to experiment with the HD500 to see if you want to use it's effects loop or the DT50's. Just make sure you enable the FX Loop on the HD500 if you use it.
