Recording 2 signals on 2 different tracks simultaneously?

I have a Toneport UX1 interface with 2 inputs that I use with a Macbook and have started recently using Logic Express. I can record with both inputs, but Logic Express puts everything in 1 track! I've tried creating 2 tracks in Logic and assigning them different inputs AND arming both of them to record, but nothing seems to work. Can anybody help me?
