Hi,
I see from your profile history that you have downloaded the latest drivers.
We have a new USB troubleshooting FAQ that has helped a lot of users. I would recommend the Windows Vista/7 Tweaks and optimizations videos listed there.
http://line6.com/community/docs/DOC-4282
Also, What kind of Processor and video card does you new computer have?
Thanks,
David

Hello David,
I am afraid I already tried all of those suggestions, but none will work.
My CPU is a Intel Core i7 950 and my GPU is a ATI HD4870.
Why do you need to know those specs?
Thanks in advance,
Chocola

Hello,
Certain NVIDEA graphics cards have been known to run a background process called PowerMizer that has caused clicks and glitches for people in the past.
If you do not have an NVIDEA installed on your machine then this does not apply to you but is why David asked.
If you've tried all of the tips called out in the FAQ David linked you to then I'm afraid there isn't much else we can do to help you troubleshoot. Some computers do not work well with our drivers and vice versa. I apologize for the inconvenience and I try not to tell people to go with a different interface but this may be something you need to consider.

To get another interface and external soundard was my idea indeed. Also because the Toneport just does not qualify anymore (amount of ports and stuff), but it is somewhat of an investment so I have to balance everything before I make such decicion. No offend towards Line6: but this will be the last company on my list, the driver support was so disappointing I won't be buying Line6 any time soon.
But thanks to all of you for the reactions and if there are more suggestions: please, tell me.
Thanks,
Merlijn

Look at this thread: http://line6.com/community/thread/53450
It talks about using Latency Monitor to locate the driver that is causing the Pops & Crackles. For a number of users, including me, it was the NVidia card and updating the drivers worked well. Perhaps you are having similar issues with your ATI card but using that software should help you locate the problem.
