getting tone

hi,

i have just purchased a backtrack standard due to the excellent reviews i have read,  my question that confuses me though is how does effects pedals/ stomp boxes go into the chain using backtrack.

can i -

use my boss etc pedals from my guitar then to the backtrack to get thier effects recorded,

and

get the tone from my amp recorded without using a microphone ie just the jack (im am very fond of my fender tune amps tone)

thanks

    RE: getting tone

To record the audio of your effects into the BT, you would need to plug you guitar into the effects, then the output from that into the Backtrack to be recorded.

If you want to record the sound from the amp, you would need to have a direct output from the amp connected into the Backtrack to record its audio.  if this output is not available, you will not be able to get the audio from the amp without a mic connected to the BT to pick up the amps sounds.

      Regards,
