Using a MIDI Controller with Vetta II

I have a MIDI controller unit from MIDI Solutions, and I'm trying to use it to control either the Pedal 1 or Pedal 2 parameters of the Vetta, but it's not working. I've tried having it send both CC1 and CC2, but neither of them have any effect. The only CC that seems to have an effect is CC7, which succesfully control the volume.
Has anyone succeeded in using a non-Line 6 MIDI controller to serve as a Pedal controller with their Vetta? Any idea why it's not working with me?
I have a Vetta I combo running the 2.5 firmware.

The BEST person I can think of for this type of situation is "CRUSTY OLD ROCKER" here on this website. Search him out and ask your queston. I'll bet he might have a solutioon.

Unlike the wah, CC1 and CC2 must have a seperate activation control sent along with or before the pedal 1/2 control. Here is a link to a Vetta 2.5 specific Midi control chart that I posted at Vettville NL a couple of years back.

I see. That explains it then. Thanks for clearing that up for me!
Unfortunately though, my controller can only send a single CC, so it looks like I'll need to put another device in the chain.
Thanks again.
