Hi,

About a year ago, the select knob (left of the display which allows navigation between amp, effect, variax control etc.) became faulty, only registering movement every now and then. I was busy & not playing as much then so I didn't pursue it & also I was using guitar port, l6 edit etc to set it up so didn't use the physical buttons or knobs much.

Now though, back playing more & need to be able to tweek without the use of a computer, but the select knob has completly stopped working.

I don't feel that clicking motion like it used to have & like the effects tweak knob has & it now serves no purpose.

This POD was only gigged a handfull of times & is always it a flight case so its not from physical abuse.

I'm guessing I am going to be told that I have to send it to my nearest Line 6 service centre for repair, which being from Ireland, is going to be overseas to Milton Keynes in England, which between transport, parts & labour is going to cost nearly as much as a another XTL.

Is there no other option??

if it makes any difference, while under warranty to thomann.de, this unit had to be sent back twice for repair for a faulty input & then faulty expression pedal (which even now still isn't right!).

*****EDIT***** I think the part I need is called a rotary encoder
