Still do not understand how to connect the HD 500 directly into my amp Return Valve

Guys,

I have the HD 500.

I would like more information on how to jump on my tube preamp and connect directly to the HD 500 on Return of the amp.

1) There is, in fact, only those two ways to skip the pre-amp and use only the return of the amplifier (taught in the "POD Connections, Routing and the 4 Cable Method")? Incidentally, there is no other way?

I ask this because the store I bought my HD, the seller made a more complexade to skip the pre-amp, not so simple as those taught in the "POD Connections, Routing and the 4 Cable Method".

Help me here ...
