POD X3 Bean through effects loop

I have a GK MB500 bass amp with effects loop and X3 bean. My question is this can I run the bean through the effects loop or would I just be better off running into the front of the stack?
Thanks
George
its actually common to use on the power in/effects return to bypass the amp's pre-amp, if that's perhaps what you are tryig to do...
some amps require something plugged into the input to enable the loop.
I figured that way is an option. Since the POd is a multi effects processor i was wondering if I might be able to use it as such and use the power amp. But in the documentation there is nothing spelled out for the bean to be used in this manner. I do like the bass amp settings but was thinking of using just the effects for live performances. To be more specific on my original question effects send goes into which input on the pod? and which output to the effects return?
come out of either the left or right out into the return... this will basically use the pod as a preamp... and will help reduce the color your amp has so that the amp models on the pod sound better...
But what if I want to use the preamp in the head and use just the effects of the pod? I agree about the amp models they do sound cool through headphones. Haven't tried them through to amp though. Still experimenting with tones at this point. At some point I will be hooking up to the amp. Just was wondering about send/return paths. would send go into input 1 and return go into either output?
sounds like you want to the 4 cable method: 4cm
That is exactly the information that I was looking for thanks for the help.
